I wonder what is more abnormal...the fact that I ate this for dinner or that I took a picture of it first?
Sometimes I just need the energy that only Starbucks can provide....especially now as I try to update my site with more recent pictures.
Have I ever mentioned how happy Cake makes me...the band not the food...well the food too. Anyway Cake rocks-just sayin!

Arte Y Pico
Let me first say that I appreciate everyone who reads my blog and leaves me such beautiful comments. You really keep me shooting so I thank you for that.
But the rules of this award were to pick five blogs and it kills me to narrow it down cause I love everyone's work so much for different reasons.
Here goes in no particular order as they say on America's Funniest Videos:
1. Jess- Jess is just my girl. I love everything about her. She is kind, incredibly funny, and so like me-and how could I not like someone as awesome as me ;) Aside from that she is an amazing photographer, has the cutest kids, and never hesitates to share her wealth of knowledge. She has taught me more than she probably knows and is one of the reasons I came out of lurkdom. plus she a barbie girl, in a barbie world..it's back in your head isn't it?
2. Amanda- Amanda just amazes me, pure and simple. Her pictures always immediately draw me in and speak to me. They tell a story, often deep-sometimes playful, but a story none the less. They speak without saying a word and on top of that she adds the most poetic quotes. She is an artist.
3. Heather- Heather has a style that I just love. She can take an everyday event and turn it to a portrait. I love how she captures the simplest of moments that most people wouldn't think twice about. She captures those moments in a photograph to remind us just how fleeting and special they are.
4.Jenn- Jenn just rocks! I love her style, her color, her b/w's, the way she makes the eyes in her photographs just pop. Not to mention that I smile every time I see her blog banner.
5..Sheye- I just have to say that this blog humbles me. Her story is so sad and brings me to tears. Her strength though amazes and inspires me. I could never imagine going through what she did and if I would be able to pull myself together. Her photography has a distinct style that is just amazing.
If any of you feel like passing the love to other blog faves feel free but not pressured ;)

Seriously...
Are they not the cutest family?
The mom here is my friend Heather's sister:
Who should know by now to not "test" the lighting for me cause it is just me wanting to get a blackmail picture of her...if only she didn't show this side to everyone I would have sommething. She was my Jay Manual for all you ANTM watchers.
Anyways there really are just the cutest, nicest family. And mom's a photographer too so it was so easy to give a general idea of what I wanted to get and be like "you know what to do"
I literally just got the card all loaded onto my computer and just worked one for a sneak peak. Thanks for looking :)

More Than Meets the Eye
I had kind of a lazy day. I didn't really take any pics until 10 minutes ago when I snatched my sons little transformers. I found it fitting since tomorrow we will be at BOTCON...I know hold your jealousy in. My son is excited though cause he thinks he is going to get Optimus Primes autograph.
Sadly it's one of the better conventions I have been to. My husband is kind of a toy geek (love him) so we have been to Star Wars and even a Star Trek convention before. It is so fun to people watch.
Plus I could do anything with my husband and his friends, they are hilarious. There is one convention that a bunch of us go to every year. On the way one year we stopped at a little restaurant/bar dive with a jukebox. There was a man who had started drinking early shall we say who was singing to every song. When my husband when up to fill it with songs the guy kept talking to him telling him that he had to pick good music cause once they are on there they have to play out, and even if the jukebox was unplugged it had to finish the songs selected. He was being really obnoxious so my husband said "Don't worry man I got you." He put the first song as Free Bird or something like that...and the next 6 as "Who let the Dogs Out" We left right as the first Who let the dogs out began. That car ride home was some of the funniest conversation speculating what the people at the restaurant were doing for the next half hour or so as each time that same annoying song played...good times. It's the small things that amuse me.
Wow that was some serious reminiscing, sorry. Feel free to skip over that. Course if you are reading this you already have or actually read that lol.
Anyway on to the pictures, I kinda liked the noise:

FlashBack
Ok so I knew if I was going to post pictures of the same subject (no matter how cute) three nights in a row, there would have to be a peace offering.
So I went digging for some pictures to do the comparison of Kiki and I. I really don't have any of her around my age so I am going to have to hit my mom up for those...but I did find some pics so I will regretfully share those ;)
And the best-
Have I proven my love for my blog readers..wow. Check out my sweet fringe...good thing I know I am cute now;)
I found this picture of my momma too, so pretty :)
So after all that a few more of Kiki...this looks much better bigger.

Kiki Take Two
I edited a total of three more pictures. Woot go me :)
It is so funny that people always think she is my daughter when she is with me. I usually just think it is because of the red hair but in these pictures I really see a resemblance to what I looked like when I was a kid (Sorry Mis)
I should try to dig out an old picture of me sometime.
Anyways here are a few more. It is so hard for me to convert that hair to b/w but I threw one in.

Kiki
It is late. I am sleepy. Just thought I would give you that update.
I stole my niece today and wanted to at least put something on the blog to prove that yes I did indeed watch her ;) I haven't had time to really edit any shots, just pulled the first one I took up and did a quick edit. From the looks of it there will be some good ones...which you will get to see tommorow ;)
I have got to go crash now...aka watch Scrubs until I pass out.
I just love the way this honey processing looks on her red hair:

Watchu Talkin' Bout Mommy
Blaze said "Thank you for liking my pictures. Keaton helped too...oh wait that is just a joke."
Here are some more pics I took of the little guy during Blaze's shoot yesterday. I love his smile in the third one.
And here is his "Whatchu Talkin' Bout" shot:
No really it works, see:
Wow my comedic genius has reached a whole new level :)

2nd Shooter
So I was a second shooter tonight...for Blaze. He said he wanted to do a photoshoot so I am all like "Awesome". So then he says "I will be the photographer and take pictures of you." To which I said" No way dude, I am not camera ready."
So we called in the Keatster and Daddy and he set up some shots. It's really funny just how much they pick up at five. He told them where to sit for the "best light", kept saying, "I got the shot", and "this is a keeper". It was adorable.
So here are his best shots:
And a few I snapped from the sidelines:
I asked Blaze if there was anything he wanted to say about his pictures so here is his message, "Do you like them? I like them. He,she,me like them. Wumbo. And Dad, Keaton, and I are the trio." Got it dude.
And can I just say how much I love my husbands smile...love it.

Daddy's Boys
I didn't have any time to take any pictures as I got stuck in a vicious myspace "bad video face off". Oh it happens lol. Today I saw videos from the greatness of "M.C Hammer", "Soft Cell", "Milli Vanilli", "Vanilla Ice" and many more. It all went downhill with the Leonard Nimoy and videos from India though. All in all it was a great day.
So here a few old shots I found of the boys together.

Chillin Out Maxin, relaxing all Cool
First off thanks for all the compliments on my SP and hair-what a boost to my confidence!
I had kind of a lazy day and I loved every minute of it. I was just chilling out in the yard with Keats so these are really just snapshots.
I even have some hand blur going on and it didn't bother me.....too much!! Thats progress for me, I am in a 12 step program to help me realize that not all pictures of my kids have to be perfect.
and cropped
Hmmm what is this:
I am sure it is meant to be eaten, isn't everything:
What the deuce? That was disgusting:
He kept doing the cutest thing, every time he walked away he would coming running back and sit in my lap
And yes I painted my nails immediately after seeing this picture :)
Have a great night!

A new Day...
Confused? Does this help? A picture of me from last week...

And today:
Sometimes I just get these urges for change and today I just wanted to make my hair a different color. So I stopped at the store and picked a box. My hair has been this orangy highlighted color for a long time so I am loving the change. The dark red is a bit more true to my natural color...but a tad bit prettier. My eyes are usually brown but green every once in awhile. This color really brings out the green.
And just for kicks with a little honey:
Jess you need to come take some pictures of me so I can be natural in front of the camera!
