Indiana Sawyer(s)

My husband would probably it if I put a discmlaimer for him that the new movie was tererible and he is bummed, so there it is ;)

That being said the boys still love the originals. Blaze loves to wear his Dad's old Indiana Hat(even though they both wore it backwards the whole time lol). Keats didn't take to playing with it as well even though Blaze kept throwing it on his head.

And just for fun:

I think Blaze would make the cutest Indiana Jones for Halloween. James has his heart set out for Captain Kirk though with Keaton as Spock...probably not gonna happen honey.

Time Flies..

Ever take a picture and look at it later only to realize your baby is fading. I do this all the time with Blaze, and when looking at him too. It just kind of hits you all at once and you think, "When did this happen?"

I took this picture of Keaton the other day and when I pulled it up on the screen it really just jumped out at me that he is growing so fast. It's bittersweet.

Hey, where's my shoe?

Keats is usually the first one up (of course) and I just love walking into his room to find his hair a mess to the point of where you just have to laugh at it.
Photobucket

He is usually the first to tucker out too, but I am willing to bet that daddy fell asleep first here.

This has been a short but sweet post by Bobbi Sawyer ;)

Weekend Mayhem

This was a long, great weekend and it really makes me sad to go back to work tomorrow. I took a ton of pictures and will probably post them throughout the week so I don't have an overload in one post. Just wanted to warn you in case you think my kids don't change their clothes... they do ;)

Fun times at the park before we hit the swings (which I have pictures of too but haven't edited yet):

The trio:

I am really trying to step out of my always shoot in the evening box so I tried a little backlighting.

First attempt not the best, too much haze:

Second attempt later in the day a little better:

Hope everyone had a great weekend too!

Hey Look a Chicken...

I always have the best intentions when I try to experiment with something new but it never really goes as planned. I always think I will use the same setting and remember what I did different in each picture but I am not a a very organized experimenter. I just get distracted easily.

So I bought a reflector an insanely long time ago and just decided to play today. I can see what a difference it makes to use one in certain situations (not sure if I like it though it is probably just me not doing it right yet)...and how hard it is to hold one and take a picture at the same time. These pics were taken in pretty good sunlight though. Methinks I will hire my hubby to help me out tomorrow so I can replay with all the different sides and actually pay attention this time.

I wasn't really worried about comp or squinty eyes, really just wanting to see the effect.

No reflector:

White side(I think...see what I mean):

Gold(I know this one for a fact cause I remember the face)
Photobucket

I really just like the way the no reflector looked but that could be cause I used a wider ap too so it is harder to compare the look. I can also see where it might come in handy with catchlights. I am going to try to play tomorrow hopefully in some serious blacklighting and see if the reflector adds to the image. I also want to experiment with the distance of the reflector and such. It is always nice to have another tool on my side.

I was shocked that Blaze actually participated though so we will see if we can get two days in a row.

Next up fill flash...

Class of 2020

Isn't that crazy to think that...class of 2020 seems so far away but I know it will be here tomorrow. My little (not so little) Blazey had his graduation Tuesday. His first year of school went so much better than I could have imagined. I was a little worried about it and how he would do but I think his amazing teacher made it a great year for him. I am so proud of everything he learned.

Warning-Picture Overload! I have a lot more pictures then this but they had other kids in them so I obviously didn't want to put them on my blog without permission.

A few pre-graduation pics (cause of course we were running late):

There was a silhouette of Blaze but I really don't think his nose is that pointy:

They put on the cutest play where they told us about everything they learned (our seats were terrible by the way) Here is the only picture where Blaze wasn't surrounded by other kids, he did such a great job!

Then there was a slideshow of pictures throughout the year:

Random Times Two

I go through blog withdrawal if I don't update everyday. I didn't really think I would get that into blogging but it is a really nice outlet to just type/vent/relate...all these things.

Blaze had his kindergarten graduation yesterday so I have been kinda busy with that though and I haven't had any time to take pictures (besides from his graduation-but more on that tomorrow after I edit them)

So I went through and found two random things I have taken picture of but never shared-enjoy ;)

My friend Heathers shoe-how cute are those shoes?
Photobucket

There is this house semi close to where I live that fascinates me. Blaze calls it The Hobbit House, it is very Keebler Elf looking- I really want to just see what the inside looks like. I did snap a few pictures of it from my car window but there really wasn't a good angle and there are signs and such in the way but I might go back and try some other time. It should be on that show What's with that House-which is a really neat show if you like architecture type stuff.

Excuse my snapshotty type pics but isn't this an unusual house?

The garden that you planted...

I am certainly not a flower photographer and I don't own a macro but for some reason I took a picture of this flower. It reminds me of the song The Garden that you Planted (playing now of course if the sound is up)

I know the song is probably talking about a breakup type relationship but the beautiful thing about music is you can interpret it anyway you want to. So the lyric that I put on this picture here really speaks to me.

"Cause everything around me's changed, but the garden that you planted still remains." There are just some people that come into your world and are forever a part of you whether physically there or not. I might have some thorns in my garden but overall it is quite beautiful. I hope everyone has their own beautiful garden growing in their life.

Decisions, Decisions...

Why am I so obsessive about my hair? I cannot decide whether I want to grow it out or cut it and kinda keep my same style going. The positives of growing it is my hair is naturally curly so I can wear it that way...now I straighten it everyday. But I also know when I grow it out I get kinda lazy and wear it back everyday. it being shorter forces me to fix it and myself lol.

So I referred to some old pictures and thought I would ask for some opinions. Keep in my these are not great pictures and they aren't even scanned...I just took a picture of the pictures with my camera (I really am that lazy). But you get the idea so..

My hair now (actually a little more grown out than usual):
Photobucket

My hair almost 3 years ago. Yes I know these are Halloween pics but you can see my hair semi-well in the first one. The 2nd one is just so you can see my awesome costume. I don't have a lot of pictures of me as I avoid the camera.

And can I just say how talented my hubby is. A big group of us went to the club as characters from Batman..me obviously Poison Ivy. My husband made my whole costume, boots and all. It was awesome. I might have to revive it this year. Seriously he amazes me with all he can do.

Sorry no new pics :( But do I cut my hair or not-help me decide!

Sneaky, Sneaky

This little boy wanted nothing to do with me. Well I take that back he first five minutes he did lol. After awhile I think he just wanted me to leave though. Which as the mother of two boys I completely understand. They are unpredictable and just wanna do what they want. Who can blame them, I wish I could go back to that time in my life too. They are also irresistibly cute.

I did manage to sneak a few pictures of him them, even as he was saying "No, Bobbi, no!" It was quite comical and he is such a doll. Plus his mom's name is Bobbi so they had to be cool, right? Thanks for letting me take pictures of your adorable son!

Still haven't decided on horizontal or vertical on this one, will leave that up to the mom.

When all else fails take pictures of their awesome shoes! (I realize I have a shoes obsession-I would seriously get this printed at least as an 8x10 if it were mine)
