The Brodster

Yup I am sticking with that nickname. Here are just a few more from his 7 month shoot.

These two pictures just cracked me up when I took them. He has a "Hungry Eyes" look going on here.

But then he is all, "Girl you know I am just playin', get over here"

Six Months Sneek Peak

My nephew Brody is six months already (ok he is really seven months but let's keep that between us) I cannot get over how fast babies grow up, it's in a blink.

He is so good for the camera too, lets hope he doesn't grow out of that as fast as he is growing up. I need a willing model in my family cause my boys are so over it.

I promised his mom a sneak peek tonight and I literally had time to edit one. Expect to see more tomorrow...if I can narrow them down. There were way to many cute ones!

I was so happy to be able to take these using God's light too, sometimes setting up the lights can be such a pain.

Does it count as two sneak peeks if I add the b/w conversion?? ;)

Drive-by Disney and a random fish..

I feel like I have to put my Disney pictures up and out of the way so I can post the sneak peek pictures of my nephew tomorrow. So even though I think they are not very good here they are, just snapped as we were walking through the parade. We didn't really have time to stop and watch it all but Keaton loved seeing the characters.

And a few snaps of Blaze at the convention, I honestly think this might be the first time I have ever used this camera's on board flash.

And this is a completely random picture but I just found it. This was taken on Easter at James sisters house. All the boys were riding their bikes and Blaze thought he wasn't as good of a rider as everyone else (just needs to practice more). He was sitting on the slide, how sad does he look?

At least the picture cracked him up :)

Vacation all I ever wanted..

Ok not really a vacation, more like a weekend getaway. I just really like this song.
We went to Orlando because James and Blaze really wanted to meet Leonard Nimoy (Spock for the non-nerd crowd) while they still could. Which they did and Blaze informed him, "You're my biggest fan" to which he laughed and replied he was.

I have come to realize though that when it comes to family/personal stuff I am a very lazy photographer. I would much rather enjoy than capture. It was a pretty busy weekend but we managed to go to Disney and surprise the kids...and I literally took 5 pictures. Seriously that's it. And they were literally just snaps as we were walking through the parade, not even of my kids.

I think it was too much of a pain to get my big camera out and then keep putting it back cause I didn't know if there was water on rides. It was taking away from my fun so I just put it away. I just need a nice p&s...Mother's Day hint!!

Anyway I will show my Disney/Convention snaps on my next blog but for now here are some random pictures of the kids in the hotel room.

2nd Times a Charm

No drama from his mama at Keaton's 2nd haircut. I didn't shed a tear, in fact I think my Keats looks insanely adorably. Lol, I meant adorable but I really like the way adorably looks so I am keeping it. Mmmhmm.

Taken a couple of weeks ago to show how shaggy the hair had gotten:

And a random snapshot from a couple of weeks ago. I just imagine him going. "Awww shucks here" Yes I narrate my children for fun.

And my cleaned up Keats:

I really liked this picture but unfortunately he slipped into the shadows, argh!

But he is still adorably, I am copyrighting that word ;)

Make it Work

Timm Gunn...Project Runway anyone?? I love that show. The amount of reality shows I watch it redunkulous, I blame DVR.

Anyways...I am sure a lot of you remember my nephew Brody (how could you forget this adorableness. Just in case you did though:
Photobucket

He is six months old now! I have not got to do the official 6 month pictures yet but they are coming soon.

I did do a semi-impromptu "shoot" though because they needed a recent picture for church. This is what I like to call ghetto fab. I only had my flash and no backdrops. So we grabbed this blanket and have I mentioned how much I love photoshop. The clone tool was great for taking wrinkles out.

Photobucket

And because I know how much his momma loves his eyes, the color version (though I am partial to b/w):
Photobucket

What can I say even my 15 minute snapshots look better than Wally Worlds ;)

I can't wait to do the real six month pictures with the full setup, six months is such a great age.

Keaton Withdrawal

Photobucket

It's a real thing. Several hours away from the kiddo I miss him like crazy. His kisses, the goofy way he dances, even the way he screams "Nooo!" and runs crying out of a room when he doesn't get what he wants. Something only a mother could love (and secretly ...ok not so secretly...laugh at)

It looks like it's about time for a haircut again, I wonder if I will cry uncontrollably again lol.

James,

Who knew that on this date I was going to find the person I would spend the rest of my life with? Certainly not me. I wasn't looking for love and especially not at a indoor "backyard" type wrestling show that my friend Heather was in. As a matter of fact as my friend Rachel and I were getting ready to go and show our support she commented, "I bet there will be a lot of hot guys there." And I laughed and informed her there was no way. And it turns out I was right. There were far from tons. In fact there was just one.

It was a rough start. You were there with your friends heckling and yelling at the wrestlers and I commented to Rachel about how annoying you guys were. Then a rather large wrestler came out called The Regulator to which you yelled, "The Regulator needs to regulate his carbs!" and along with everyone else there I cracked up. And then I saw you, and I told Rachel I would have your number by the end of the night. I found out later it was a rough start for you too. Apparently you were upset when you started the wave and we stopped it. I officially apologize.

I snagged Heather at the end of the show to see if she had any info, luckily you two were friends. So I told Heather to give you my number and see if you wanted to get some food with us. Before she asked you I saw you talking to another friend of mine, and decided to go to the bathroom which was located where you were talking. On my way there I made some lame comment to my friend about a light saber since Heather had informed me that you were a nerd (lol not in those words).

When I got back Heather handed me your number (second time I was right that night!) but you didn't join us for dinner. I would later find out Heather forgot to ask. Love you Heather! I did get some more information though from Heather and asked her not to tell you I had a child...I like to give this information myself. She said she wouldn't say anything.

The next day you called me (yay!)and the first words out of your mouth were, "So I hear you have a son." Apparently Heather had already given you that information before I told her not to say that and she didn't know what to say when I asked her not to tell you. Love you again Heather.

If there was ever such a thing as a perfect conversation then it happened in those four hours. I learned so much about you that made me feel connected. We had the same favorite discontinued chip (Pizzerias), we both had our moms cook our same favorite meal every year for our birthday (stroganoff) and we had the same favorite episode of Punky Brewster (where she gets stuck in the refrigerator while playing hide and seek). I should have known then that you were my match...maybe I did.

We talked for hours on the phone every night before our first date that Thursday on April Fools. They were the most ridiculous, amazing coverstaions ever full of "Deep Thoughts" quotes and watching MXC at the same time.

The first date was as perfect as those first conversations, I was on cloud nine. But I was leaving for a weekend trip with my friends the next day. As it would turn out I spent the whole vacation with you on the phone. When I got back I couldn't wait to see you.

And this has maintained throughout our relationship. When I am not with you, I think of you and cannot wait to see you. Every first with you has been amazing. I could write so much more if only I had all the time in the world. You are amazing. You are helpful to everyone. You just have so much kindness in your heart. You are hands down the smartest, funniest person I have ever met. You make me feel like I am the most beautiful woman in the world. You are everything I want our sons to grow up to be. You are amazing. It's worth saying twice.

So a day late (of course) Happy Anniversary. I love you.

Bobbi
