Some 40D lovin!

Finally! It has been really cold so I have been uninspired by indoor shots. I had to play though.

Ok so I really think I am going to love my new camera. There might be a small learning curve cause this thing is h-e-a-v-y. Now if I could only get that 24-70L.

I didn't realize my red paper was still down so that is kinda reflected on his face.
Hence the quick b/w conversion.


Now could someone please explain to me why my 5 year old looks like a teenager already?!

Baby Love

Thanks for all the comments on yesterdays picture- I <3 it.

Here is another shot of my baby from Tuesday's pictures. I knew I would not have time to take any yesterday. I love his little innocent look here.

I am also really loving texture now. For the longest time I didn't get it till I read about doing it on a soft light layer. Shout out to Heather (Dewey)! I read this from something you wrote:)

I Love My Levi's 501's

There is something so cute about baby jeans! Seriously if I saw this in a store I would buy them...and not just cause I took it or it's my baby's booty.



I have a feeling this is going to become one of my favorite shots. I don't know why but the weird random ones stick with me as favorites...like this converse picture from last summer. I just love it so much.


Sidenote- Big Brother is back!!!! Hands down greatest reality show ever- Chilltown for life! (ok I am a little obsessed)

Be Mine

I tried taking some Valentine's type pictures but I wasn't too happy with the color. The good thing is I figured out why it went wrong, part of my paper was actually in the sun instead of outside of it so the red was very reflective on his clothes. I always love a lesson learned. So now I know what I need to do different the next time.

They also felt a little "posey" to me...I know their are some winter lovers out there but I cannot wait for nice weather again. For now I here is some b/w versions and I might try to reshoot some other time.

My oldest will not smile in pictures! I am going to have to try to be more sneaky, it will be my goal to get some real genuine smiles from him.

This is what he usually starts doing when he sees I have the camera which is equally cute in a different way.


Of course Keaton is an extraoridinarily smiley baby. so maybe that will stick with him (fingers crossed)

Family

It is so nice to have nieces who will volunteer to get their pictures taken when your son says "No camera" Even when it's just snapshots.

For some reason the color looks different here then in my photoshop? Do you see a bad color cast or have I been staring at it too long? I really need to get an expodisc or start carrying my grey card around.

When in doubt always convert, but I love her red hair so much.

Random Post!

I have absolutely no idea why I took this picture :) I think I was inspired by Jess's big little things post...plus I was home alone with nothing to shoot.

This is our wedding cake topper. My husband makes custom action figures for fun, so of course he would alter a couple of action figures to look like us and use as a cake topper...and I really loved it. The figures are from corpse bride and he painted the guys suit and the girls hair and dress. I have this sitting on my shelf in my living room so I can see it everyday. I probably should have left it there for the picture instead of this bright green but what can you do?


Here are some of the pics of it from my wedding day. I have to note here per my sisters request that the cake looks like that on purpose. I really wanted a topsy imperfect cake cause I am quirky like that. I loved it and think she did a great job, but she was so upset that she thought people would just think she messed up my cake.
