And I am not going to lie I am kicking myself in the ass a little bit for it. I was tired of all the beautiful girl comments and my husband had been asking me to get his hair cut for the past year (though he did say before we did it that he was ok with the curls) Keatons hair was starting to get a bit tangly and the curls were starting to fall out too if I am being honest. So we took him in and I told the lady I wanted a trim only, not a boy cut. But unfortunately as the way it is with hair places most of the time, it was more than a trim.
I seriously bawled on the way home, not like teared up but actually cried a lot...and I am not a crier. Of course I wasn't really crying about the haircut it just really hit me that Keaton was no longer a baby. I have been wanting to try for another baby for awhile ( I just picture myself with three kids) but James thinks two is enough with this economy, which I understand but I can't make my heart stop wanting it. This haircut made things seem so final to me.
My golden curled boy a couple of months ago:
The haircut, which he was clearly not happy about.
At least he was happy afterwards:
With a face like this though it is impossible to look bad. It is growing on me a bit, all pushed forward like this he could kinda pass for a British rocker. Cause that is what every mom wants for our 2 year olds right?

Oh so sad to see the curls leave, but he is still adorable!!
He is such a cutie, with or without the curls
Actually, I love the new look! He looks so full of life and ready for the challenges that come with being 2! It's a good thing that wonderful stuff comes with each of the ages of our children, so we can stand to give up the good stuff of the previous stage.
He is so cute...I loved the curls, but his new haircut is adorable, too! ((hugs)) on wanting another baby. DH says we are done as well and it breaks my heart some days.
He looks a lot like his mother. So cute!
(BTW, I didn't want to say anything about the curls. I would hold onto them as well. )
Oh I love it. His hair is SO SWEET. I completely understand about the whole haircut = growing up, I bawled when I got my oldest dd's first haircut!
OH MAN he was not a happy camper during the cut. but not to worry he is still very handsome two year old
Oh, my cow-you did it!! I really thought you'd hold your ground longer, but I love it! It really looks great on him-and heck yes, that's what we as moms want!!!
I know how hard it was on me to give up Josh's curls, though, so ((hugs)).
He looks so grown up! I cried when I cut my son's curls off too...
It is so sad to cut the curls but he looks adorable. You did a great job taking the photos at the hair place. Did you save a few curls?
They grow up too quickly don't they! I just recently had to get my 3 yo dd's hair cut (more fixed since she got a hold of a pair of scissors) and I cried right along with her as they cut. Her hair ended up being shorter than your son's...so sad for me.
Nooooooooooooo! Just kidding, he's still the cutest thing on two feet. I couldn't bring myself to cut Cam's hair either, and he didn't have great curls like Keaton, he had a baby mullet (a bullet, if you will).
He is a cutie long hair or not! :)
Oh my he is cute!! It is so sad to realize they are growing up! He has such beautiful hair!
Oh my gosh, I totally see the British Rocker thing (which goes so well with the sock monkey shirt..LOL). I can understand why it was so heartbreaking for you, in many ways. (((HUGS)))
Well, he's a cute little love with and without the longer hair. I can relate to the not wanting to transition from baby to boy, but there is nothing we can do to stop it. So enjoy the little boy he is, because someday we'll be moaning and groaning about the boy to man transition. Ugh!
I loved his curls but his hair cut makes him looks like such a cutie! Definitely a little boy now.
OMG... I am so sad! Am I a total freak that I am actually crying over a child whom I've never met's haircut?! He looks so GROWN UP! It's not FAIR!
You are so right though... he could NEVER look bad...but I'm so sad to see his beautiful baby curls go! *sniff*
Tell James that 3 kids aren't really that much more expensive than 2. TRUST me. ;)
CRAZY! I totally just had E's hair cut too! It's about the same length and everything. His curls went away soon after he turned three and he was getting quite shaggalicious. Although I'll still let his hair grow out so it's longer than most boy cuts, it's so weird to look at him with his hair all short! In other words, I totally feel ya! :)
What great shots! I can't believe how old he looks with the cut! He is one handsome little boy!
I love the new look too! He's still just as adorable as ever!
What a cutie!
Oh MAN...that is so tough mom. But he looks adorable! And he seems to love his new do. Kids hair does grow super fast as well, so if you don't like it, it WILL grow back. :) He is such a cutie.
It's adorable!!! Love the haircut pics!
Oh, so sad to see your baby growing up, but he's adorable, with curls or without. He definitely looks like he was not having a good time during the haircut, though!
He's adorable regardless of the curls, but I do understand what you're saying about him growing up. ((( )))
Keats is seriously adorable. I love the British rocker look! :)
He looks like such a grown-up!
