Oh Christmas Tree

I love that feeling when the Christmas tree goes up and the Christmas music is playing in the background. There is nothing like holidays to make you feel snuggling super close to your loved ones.

When Boredom Strikes...

I don't know why by I was insanely bored today. I was working on getting some pictures done but needed a break. I knew if I left the computer though it would be so hard coming back.

So what was I to do?? I found a really crappy picture of me with a bad crop(chin chop-it's really hard to do a self portrait with a 50!) and just started playing with it. I don't know it amused me for like 5 minutes.

I used to hate my freckles which you can see here, but they have grown on me.
I hope your day was more productive then mine. I always forget how sharp that 50 is! I really need to use it more.

I cannot get over how cute this girl is, it's a pleasure taking her picture everytime. She has the most gorgeous eyes I have ever seen.

Holy Moly

I actually did it, I actually got a picture of my two boys together...looking at the camera and smiling none the less. I couldn't be happier. It is so hard shooting your own kids. Individually I am good, but the two of them together is a bit tougher. Especially if I have a specific look in mind, i.e the Christmas Card shot.



Oh you didn't think I was put it on my blog did you? ;) Lol, I am still debating if I want to put it up before I send the cards...I probably will. For now you get yoda.

Let's keep in mind that I had only had my camera 3 months at this time, it was the first time I even shot anyone other than family(not for money of course) and I wasn't to savy about custom white balance.

Cheesin It

I found a memory card in my bag today that I didn't even know was missing. I must have just stuck it in a pocket. I am glad I found it cause these pictures were on there. They were taken a couple of months ago just when Keats was running in and out of the room being a goofball.

He kept giving these super cheesey smiles and running out.








Man I love this kid, he is growing up way too fast :(

Completely unrelated to my pictures whatsoever. Do any of you watch Flight of the Choncords (Becky and Jess I know you would love them). I have watched a few of the songs here and there on youtube but I watched like 5 episodes these weekend from their DVD-so so funny!

Hey look it's not pictures of my kids ;) We went to the zoo a couple of weekends ago and I just now loaded some of the pictures. I am not the best picture taker at zoos. I always give up after 20 minutes and put my camera away to just enjoy the animals. One of these days I am going to have to go without the kids to just take pics.










Ok I lied one picture of one of my kids! Weirdest expression ever, but I really love that effect the telephoto lens gives.


I am so sad I had to return that lens...I want it so bad :(

Keaton's Hat

Finally got to do Keatons pictures in his hat!

Gosh, I love this kid! I know it's not tecnically perfect ( a bit bright but I kinda like it here, though I may tone it down before ordering) but I want to print this one for sure. So do you think color for those golden greeen eyes?

I got pictures of Keats in his matching hat coming tommorow :)

I had to come back to add this video my husband found on an old camera card. It's not great quality (neither was the camera) but it's the "Blazey" dance that he used to do to this song all the time when he was 3/4. Still cracks me up, he's got moves. I love James in the back trying to keep it together too.

Lol, unfortunately this was the first picture I took. I bought Blaze and Keats some super cute hats and I just bought a different color seamless paper (charcoal) and wanted to get some pictures with both. I just wanted to do some headshots, to explain the diaper. I did manage to get some cute ones I just edited this one first cause it cracked me up.

I am starting to really love seamless paper...which makes me really want to invest in studio lights. And my husband said I can have one of the basement rooms or the garage for a studio now I just need to win the lottery ;)

And I was tagged by my 6th sister Jess(seriously I think we are related) I am supposed to grab the book I am currently reading go to page 56, 5th line and post the next couple lines so here goes:

I am actually in the process of rereading "Confessions of an Ugly Stepsister". It's by Gregory Maguire, the same guy who wrote Wicked and its the "true" story of the ugly stepsisters from Cinderella. Highly recommend it.

Trek or Treat

Get it??? Anyways so my family is Trekkies (minues moi), I have resigned myself to the truth. Blaze was Captain Kirk for Halloween, James was Spock, and James transformed Keatons costume into the Mugato which is a villian from Star Trek...though Keaton got called an ice cream cone the most, and a unicorn the 2nd most.

The lighting conditions were not great and I was in a hurry but here are a bunch of snaps from Halloween. (Btw, Keats did end up enjoying his costume more than the pics from my previous post-yay!)



















My friend Shawna had told me a long time ago that James looked like Zachary Quinto from Heros.


And I was like Yeah I don't see it.

Then I found this picture and was kind of like...hmm maybe I do see it.
