I don't get a lot of pictures of my mom or even get to see her as much as I should (though I do call almost every day even if out of boredom). She is without a doubt the strongest person I have ever know in my entire life. She probably doesn't know how much I admire her. She always did the best she could for her kids no matter the circumstances and she did a hell of a job with us. Not an easy thing with seven of us.
I know her life was and is rough, but she loves and lives for her children with a strength that used to be unknown to me before I had my own. I am ashamed to say that I probably didn't appreciate it before then as I do now too. We all know what hindsight is.
This pictures is from her parents grave over Easter Weekend. Both my grandparents died before I was born and while she was relatively young herself. It scares me to think that they were around the age she is now. I really don't know what I would do without her.
I wish I was better at expressing myself verbally but sometimes when things are tough to think about I push them to the side. Writing this makes me realize that I need to take the time to tell her all that she has taught me and meant to me. Anyways perhaps she is reading this-if so I love you mom you are the best.

What a beautiful tribute to your mom! She sounds like a wonderful person. Tell her every chance you get. My mom is gone, and I miss her so much!
Great picture - love how you converted it to B&W. Also great tribute to your mom.
what beautiful journaling....i'm sure she'll treasure this deeply.
maybe you should send her a link to this beautiful post....lovely photo.

What a great post and photo. It's true we don't appreciate our moms fully until we're older, but you know one of my friends once said something to me about raising children that I thought was so wise. She said, "I feel like I'm doing a good job if my kids take me for granted."
Beautiful photo.
Sweet sentiments. I too don't know what I'd do without my mom and am glad to know I'm not the only one who calls her mom daily:)
Beautiful..
what a very touching photo and beautoful journaling. thanks so much for sharing this with us. i certainly understand now that im a mom too!
Bobbi...this is a wonderful and heartfelt photo. It shows that you do love her, and your words are perfect. I think it must be something about being young and not realizing the depth of the special relationships with share with others. Its tough to know that I waisted so much time in teenage angst with my parents. However, that is what is so great about unconditional love. And now you will go through it with your sweet babies too.
Great post. It made me think...I am going to go and call my mom.
Nice shot of your mom. I hope she sees this pot. i bet it will make her day
How moving! I hope she is reading, cuz if she is, she's crying right now. What a wonderful tribute and great picture!
Beautiful shot and post to go with it!! Sometimes writing the words is just as meaningful as speaking the words!
How sweet! So glad that you are recognizing these feelings. Tell your mom, don't just let her read it. It will mean the world to her!!
I love your journaling and the photo is beautiful. I'm sure it will be very special to your mother to see what you have written.
This is beautiful! I love the b&w conversion, and what a wonderful daughter you are! I think you should print out the photo, and print out your words, put it in a card, and give it to her. She'll treasure it! There's more intensity in the mother/daughter relationship than almost anything, and just about every daughter wishes she had been "better" to her mom earlier.
What a beautiful tribute!! Made me realize what I have as well. . .thank you!
lovely tribute to your mother. she sounds like a remarkable woman. love that shot of her-the pping works well on it.
Very sweet journaling. nice conversion to b/w
touching photo and nice sentiment. it's so important, if not to say how we feel about those in our lives, to show it and mean it.
that's a great post. and a great picture too.
Oh honey... this just rips my heart out. What a strong, strong woman your mom must be! I think your journaling is beautiful, simple, sweet, and to the point. :) ((hugs)) to you and ((hugs)) to your mom!!!
Beautiful capture of your mother. I agree it's a great tribute. She sounds like a wonderful woman!
Aww so sweet and such a symbolic photo!! It never hurts to express how we feel everyday!!
